Classes For All Fitness Levels
“I’m not in very good shape,” is one of the most common concerns we hear. But you don’t have to worry! Our instructors offer modifications and you’re welcome to take breaks as needed.
Self-defense is just as important for first-time gym goers and the elderly, as it is for marathon runners. Wherever you are, we promise, you’ll be challenged and encouraged in equal measure.
Ages 12 and up.
Krav Maga (Self-Defense)
Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system designed to combine explosive techniques with your body’s natural responses.
In these classes, you’ll learn powerful strikes like punches, elbows, and knees, as well as defenses against chokes, bear hugs, and other common attacks.
These exciting and fast-paced classes prepare both the body and mind against violent attacks, utilizing stress drills designed to mimic real-life situations.
Striking is a kickboxing class that focuses on technique and strategy. Students learn to string together combinations, slip punches, and block kicks, all while moving in and out of your opponent’s range.
Students might use Thai pads, focus mits, or heavy bags in this class. Boxing gloves are recommended!
Cardio Bag is a kickboxing class focused more on getting a great workout, than on technique. Instructors combine bodyweight excercises with upper and lower body strikes for a solid cardio burn.
While this is an intense workout, instructors do offer modifications and students are encouraged to take breaks as needed, so everyone can participate, regardless of fitness level!
Boxing gloves are required.
Fight Circuit is a 30-minute fitness class designed to work on your speed, strength, and endurance.
In this quick hitting workout, students cycle through 4-5 stations, using a variety of equipment, including the heavy bag, spar bar, free weights, agility ladder, and more.
Temporarily Suspended Classes
Due to Covid-19, we’ve made changes to our class schedule. We’ve kept classes that are no-contact or can be modified to be no-contact, as well as classes that are open to a wider range of students.
These are the classes that will be added back into our class schedule, as soon as it is safe to do so:
- Ground Fighting
- Women’s Only
- Krav Maga Level 3 (and higher)
- Weapons Defenses
“A great place to learn self-defense and fighting techniques! The people treat you like family (activities outside of classes) and everyone is encouraging (no egos, everyone is here to learn and get better). Omar and Margaret (and all the students) have really created a place that will bring the best out of you!!“
“They do a great job accommodating all experience levels, working you hard, and celebrating progress no matter your starting point. The owners, Omar and Margaret, make you feel important as soon as you walk in and have created such a positive and encouraging environment.“

Where Does Krav Maga Come From?
Krav Maga was designed for the Israeli special forces. It combines the most effective techniques from Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and others, while cutting out all the fluff.
To make sure we’re being true to the system, all of our instructors are certified by Krav Maga Worldwide.
how intense are the classes?
Krav Maga is full of explosive and aggressive movements. We do our best to train at full-power to build that into our muscle memory. That being said, most everything we do can be modified or skipped, depending on injuries, fitness, or comfort levels.
This isn’t bootcamp and we aren’t going to yell at you if you need a break. Self defense is for everyone!
What do i wear to class?
We’re pretty informal! Wear whatever you’re comfortable working out and (in non-Covid times) grappling with a partner in.
Please note that shoes and socks are not recommended on the mats.
Does Krav Maga Have a Belt System?
Yes! You won’t see us actually wearing the belts (Krav Maga isn’t that formal), but there is a belt system that corresponds to a set curriculum.
Students start out as a white belt, regardless of experience in other styles of martial arts, and will be invited to test for their next level as their skills progress. Ask us for more details!
how old do you have to be to join a class?
Right now, we’re only providing adult classes.
That being said, students as young as 12 are welcome to join an adult class with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Do i need previous experience to participate?
Zero experience required!
People with a background in martial arts might pick things up a little more quickly, but because Krav Maga is so different, they still have a lot to learn. Our Level 1 classes are designed for beginners.
