This class is design to enhance your hand-to-hand combat skills through boxing and kickboxing. Students will focus on technique punching, elbowing, kneeing, and kicking during drills and sparring. In addition to learning how to strike, students will work on footwork, movement, defenses, and counters.
Throughout the class, we’ll use a variety of tools, including focus mitts, Thai pads, heavy bags, and more.
Students will spar as part of their training when the instructor feels they are ready and can do the activity safely.
Our ground classes focus on teaching effective techniques used by grapplers against opponents of all sizes.
You will learn an array of techniques available from guard, half guard and mount to control any situation on the ground. You’ll also master strikes, joint locks, wrestling takedowns, Judo throws, submission holds, pins, and pressure points to subdue an attacker.
The ground techniques used in Krav Maga are designed so that a smaller person can defend themselves against a larger attacker using leverage and submission holds.
Our ground class will usually include 45 Minutes of drills and technique, ending with 15 minutes of open mat rolling.
